Boogedy-Boogedy

I am not sure who’s specific campaign is being bolstered by faulty logic this time, but last time it was “The Decider’s” (read: President’s) campaign that rested on war time laurels.  The best way to get re-elected, after all, is to make sure there is a war when voters are at the booths.  An international report has been released that says Iran in not a nuclear threat.  Once again, The Decider is simply saying, “Nuh-uhn, that’s not true.”

The first rule of logical argument is that you don’t argue against the facts that are presented.  You can’t just say that it isn’t true in order to stop a debate, but The Decider has done so not once (as in 5 years ago with Iraq), but twice now.  It seems that both times this vehement denial of facts, an unsubstantiated denial at that, coincided with an election period. But what I don’t get is: whose campaign is going to benefit from this latest security threat?

Regardless, you can’t just come out against both the free and restricted world and say, “Your wrong, now matter how much research that little report thing took, or how many people are involved in creating it.”  Perhaps a course in logic, or a related degree, should be a new requirement to make it on the ballot.  I am not sure how many more years of faulty logic and campaigns run on scare tactics I can take.

The problem here is that his “faulty logic” is also the faulty logic of the people who voted him into presidency for the second time and therefor “our faulty logic.”
You forget that you are educated and understand the idea of a logical argument. There are millions of Americans (though, apparently the Decider’s approval rating has been below 40% for like 30 months now or something) who don’t. And they will believe what a ‘good ole boy from Texas’ tells him, ’cause goshdarnit, he don’t wanna kill babies and let gay people get hitched… just like me!

FOUR MORE YEARS!!! FOUR MORE YEARS!!!

Annnie, your assertion that an adult can live as many years as yourself in the same country and not have a value system different than yourself without being an uneducated moron is both specious and

    Dwight Wannabe,

Oh, I think people are completely entitled to whatever value system they choose, no matter what degree of education.
I just find it upsetting when a “value system” includes lying to the American public and gaining votes by cloaking an underlying agenda with issues that people are very passionate about, including abortion and gay marriage. Because as the current administration has found out, the public will vote for these issues no matter what else comes with them (which is their choice, completely). Because they are moral, just like taking over the rest of the world and ignoring the United Nations. You know.

Common gang… no matter where we stand as individuals (left right or down the middle)do you really believe the public consensus has one ounce of baring on the decisions made in this country, more the less the ‘global theatre’? It’s interesting to me that the Powers that Be (that are Really pulling the strings)… the Bilderburger’s, Rockefeller’s,TC (Trilateral Commission)& CFR (Council on Foreign Relations)to name a few,are the very ones that released this report from 2002. http://www.cfr.org/publication.html?id=7758
Since we know 580 preselected electoral voters determine the presidency (who picks those voters?)and ultimately no matter who lands in office Will do the bidding of the Powers that Be, I think the real question is…
what are they REALLY up to?
    Boogedy-Boogedy INDEED!
